Hey Ladies, first, I want to shout out a big hello to all of you in the hockey group. Secondly, I want to apologize for silence since the season began. No excuses, I have been working like a mad person with no room to breathe it seems. I am going to work diligently to get our group back to regular hockey chat and catch up with old friends (whom I have missed greatly) and meet new friends that are hoping that this group is active
My team--the Colorado Avalanche--has been inconsistent and streaky this season. I was at one of the best home games of the season, AVS vs. Buffalo Sabres, which gave me a false hope that my team would be better than expected this season and then everything seemed to split the seams of those thoughts. But maybe after nail-bitting wins in Vancouver and Edmonton things are shifting?
I'll head to the Pepsi Center on Thursday night to see the AVS vs. Calgary Flames which should be a hard-fought, entertaining and important match for both teams. It will be my last home game until late December as I will be in Spain and France for a couple of weeks.
How are your teams doing? Are you enjoying the season? Which games have been your favorites so far? What players have impressed you as season standouts? Can San Jose live up to all the hype and expectations? Will we see a Sharks vs. Penguins Stanley Cup final?
It is too early to place any bets and everyone says the real season starts after Christmas, but I have a strong hunch that the Sharks, Penguins, Red Wings, Bruins, Rangers, Canucks, Wild, Canadiens, Ducks, and Capitals aren't going anywhere and will be at the top of the pack at season's end.
Let me know your thoughts and let's get this gab fest going!

Welcome back!
That Red Wings/Pens game was pretty exciting other than the outcome.
Marian Hossa has been fabulous so far for the Wings.

1So glad to see your post again
The Pens vs Red Wings also has to be my favorite game so far. (Though I liked the outcome
,lol.) Jordan Staal shined during that game (especially when he had his 2nd hat trick.) Plus, it was interesting watching the Pens/Wings
game with Hossa on the opposing team this time.
Jordan Staal is beginning to stand-out. I believe he is starting to find his place now and gaining more skill. I wish Sidney's shoot-out outcome would improve (since that seems to be how Pens games are ending lately) however there is still time. (
) The Pens were scaring me a bit for
awhile with their losses however they are bouncing back and taking control during the 2nd & 3rd period. Still, the last 30 minutes have me on edge.
However I believe the Penguins will do just fine and stay ahead of the rest.
2Staal is really starting to develop nicely.
I'm keeping an eye on the Marion Gaborik situation. I think he'll be moved before too long.
